Fundamentally the application accepts data from an external swf, or XML, depending on the parameters passed to it via the URL, and displays the relevant words and pictures.
This original application was developed so that non-flash/web developers could produce and update media.
The numbered 'set' beads above the video area load groups of interview questions into the block on the left. Clicking the Questions navigates you to appropriate answers in the video. Sub-title option buttons appear below the video.
This was designed modularly to create a flexible code base. It was built on the success of a Language Course Application (also here), but adapted for .flv video. The core code has proved extremely adaptable.
I'd want to make it prettier, and define interactive areas graphically.
